Frank Mizzi’s Nativity Crib

Until only a few years ago, Frank Mizzi’s iconic Nativity crib used to be on display in an exhibition space annexed to his house on Fountain Street, just off St Augustine Square.  Frank Mizzi started building this unique Christmas crib around 40 years ago, and it has remained a work in progress ever since, with new features added over the years.  A few years ago, Mizzi donated this unique and exceptionally beautiful work to Il-Ħaġar Museum, where it is now on display in a purpose-created exhibition space on Level -2. 

The Museum is open Monday to Sunday, 9:00-17:00, but will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
