Yesterday, Friday 21st February 2014 the Annual General Meeting of Fondazzjoni Belt Victoria has been held in which a report of the various activities held, the current programme and future plans have been explained to the audience.  The Fondazzjoni Belt Victoria was established in 1998 with the object of promoting the city of Gozo’s cultural identity and, in particular, of creating a Museum-cum-Cultural Centre in collaboration with St George’s basilica.

This morning the lecture by Prof Stanely Fiorini  on Medieval Gozo: the identity of an island was also very well attended.  Later today a collective art exhibition was inaugurated.  Participating in the exhibition are contemporary artists: Anthony Caruana, Christopher Saliba, George Scicluna, Jörg Böttcher, Justin Falzon, Maria Cassar, Mario Cassar, Mark Sagona, Paul Stellini, Rachel Galea, Toni Mizzi, Umberto Buttigieg, Victor Agius and Vincent Caruana.
