Official Opening of the Museum by the Prime Minister of Malta

This morning another chapter has been written in the history of Fondazzjoni Belt Victoria and St George’s Parish. The official opening of the museum by the Hon. Dr. Lawrence Gonzi, Prime Minister of Malta, was a huge success. La Stella Philharmonic Band welcomed the Prime Minister by playing the national anthem and a few minutes later, Mr Antoine Vassallo, Chairman of Fondazzjoni Belt Victoria addressed the public with a concise but very meaningful speech. It was followed by the address of the Prime Minister afterwhich the distinguished guests moved inside the museum where Gozo Bishop Mgr Mario Grech blessed the premises after a short message.
This evening another memorable event which will certainly be the highlight of these inauguration celebrations – the concert by the Papal Choir Cappella Sistina, under the direction of Mgr Massimo Palombella SDB. The concert will be under the distinguished patronage of H.L. Bishop Mario Grech, Dean of the Collegiate Chapter of the Basilica in urbe.
