PONTIFICAL HIGH MASS AT ST GEORGE’S BASILICA

To conclude the inaugural celebrations of Il-Ħaġar – Heart of Gozo, Fondazzjoni Belt Victoria inserted in its programme a Pontifical High Mass led by Gozo Bishop Mgr Mario Grech, who is also Dean of the Collegiate Chapter of the Basilica in urbe.  The mass was also attended by the museum benefactors, collaborators and the Fondazzjoni Belt Victoria members.  The Laudate Pueri Choir, which participated during the mass was under the direction of Can. George J Frendo).

The mass was followed by a fund-raising buffet lunch organized by the friends of the museum at Ta’ Ċenċ Hotel, which was a huge success.  In the late afternoon the museum was opened to the benefit of those who had not visited it yet.  People from all over Gozo congratulated the Fondazzjoni Belt Victoria for this important  initiative which will benefit not only the parishioners of St George’s but the island as a whole.
