Military Units in Gozo in World War II Public Lecture

Il-Ħaġar Museum continues with its public lecture series on Saturday 9 March 2024 at 11:00. We are pleased to have Charles Bezzina lead us into the past of this island in his historical talk on military units in Gozo during the Second World War.

Entrance is free. Please reserve your seat by emailing: events@heartofgozo.org.mt.

After the lecture you might wish to take a look at the current exhibitions being hosted at the Museum. Unknown Prescription reveals works by Mario Abela, Charles Balzan, and Justin Falzon. The exhibition explores ideas of transition, fragmentation, and the flesh, where paintings and photography dialogue with artefacts from the Museum’s permanent collection. This exhibition will remain open until 14 April 2024.

The documentary exhibition What’s in a bequest? The Archive of Mro Joseph Vella displays material from the Vella Music Archive and remains open until 24 March 2024. The exhibition can be viewed at Levels 1 & -1.
